Make sure your windows telnet port is closed.!!!

Telnet is a Network protocol, called terminal network or virtual network between two computer's (generally between server and client).It provide a bidirectional interactive text-oriented communications facility using a virtual terminal connection.Telnet control information in an 8-bit byte oriented data connection over the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).

 If your windows telnet port is open it can create problem with you.   somebody can access your computer if they know's your computer's username and password.

To make sure your telnet port is  you can scan your port-23 , by using some port scanner softwares or by just typing the following commands to your command prompt....

Ex c:/> netstat -a

In the above image all the open port in windows are listed.

If u find that your windows telnet port is opened it can witnessed to someone access your computer without your permission.

Just follow the steps below to close your Telnet port in any Windows

Ex. Windows xp, Windows vista, 7 ........

1:> Go to "start menu" and follow the 
2:> Here u find the "control panel" just go through it
3:> now go for "Programs and features" click on it

4:> on the left hand side u will get a link "Turn windows features on or off" just go through it.
5:> Now you have a popup windows with some check boxes and options just go through "Telnet Client"
and "Telnet Server".

Now just go through the image and uncheck the Telnet Client and Telnet Server.

Now u are free from being un authorised accesed your computer.
